The District Mammy Queen of Mongo Bendugu, Koria Marah, has expressed profound appreciation for the establishment of a women-focused radio station in Kabala District, describing it as a transformative platform for women’s empowerment and community development.

Speaking in an interview, Madam Marah said she was delighted with the initiative, particularly the name of the station, “Museh Radio,” which she noted translates to “Women’s Radio.” According to her, the station is primarily designed to serve the interests and voices of women across Kabala and its surrounding communities.

She extended heartfelt gratitude to SEND Sierra Leone for what she described as a commendable effort in promoting inclusive communication and development. She further prayed for Allah’s continued guidance and protection for the organization’s management and staff.

Madam Marah revealed that although she had long heard about the radio station, she initially faced challenges in tuning in due to lack of technical know-how. However, she emphasized her excitement about the station’s potential, noting that it will significantly contribute to development in Kabala District, especially in Mongo Bendugu.

She pledged to mobilize and encourage women in Mongo Bendugu and nearby communities to actively listen to the station, stressing that it provides an opportunity for women to discuss pressing issues affecting them and collectively seek solutions.

Highlighting her personal listening preferences, Madam Marah said she regularly tunes in from 8:00 p.m. until the station goes off-air, with particular interest in programs focused on religion, culture, agriculture, youth, and women’s affairs.

She concluded by reaffirming her belief that Museh Radio will play a vital role in driving development in the district while once again offering prayers for the continued success of SEND Sierra Leone and its staff.
